The thermostat would prematurely shut off & turn back on when cooling. "Short cycling" itself. TS was very helpful & said the issue was with the "common wire". Turns out on the previous thermostat the common was not needed so it was folded back. When I installed Nest I figured "well I guess this wire doesn't need to be hooked up". Well i called TS and he said to open the furnace. When I did I saw the common wire was connected at the unit so I hooked it up at the Nest. Problem solved!!!!
I keep a few stocked in my truck as a nice up sell before I leave the customers house. I also stock those Lutron Caseta Wireless kits as well as those Decora USB outlets. Customers love those!!!!!
Knowing that Gold went up a few K makes me think "well now I have to do a better job on selling more equipment".
