Therefore, Sony/LG/Samsung are ok, Denon, Yamaha, Pioneer etc. won't have Netflix in any new models. This is the reason the Pioneer BDP62FD is still being sold, but it's perpetually backordered because Pioneer didn't expect to not have the license renewed and so they had to go back to manufacturing on that piece to keep Netflix.

A little more to it than that for the BDP-62 but I really can't talk about it. You are correct that the 62 is grandfathered in.
I was at Pioneer when Netflix made the decision. We knew Netflix would be going away eventually though the Elite by Sharp display plan woulda', shoulda', coulda' ' allowed us to continue with it for a while.
