I have an existing large project that uses Extron extenders that deliver Component or RGBHV and serial over a single CAT5. They are VERY expensive and we have been having power supply failures (also VERY expensive) that are killing the send units. I do have a second CAT5 at many locations but not all. I want to explore an alternative to reduce expenditures, satisfy the client and possibly improve reliability. I would like to replace all of the power supplies but at $140 per 12V 1A factory models... it adds up!
