In point of fact the Ebay seller has already refunded my money as they were unde the impression that it was in full working order. I've agreed that if I can make it work I will pay them again.
The problem is according to my installer the PTX3 is no longer made, and I'm left un able to replace one that failed with a very expensive system that is only 2-3 years old, and I'm fairly pissed about it. So In order to make it last at least another 8 years or so I need to start stockpiling functional remotes.
So the question stands, is there a way to get a crashed remote like this working again, my previous one, also apparently has a software glitch in it.
