Man, I had that problem on the Denon AVR2807 models and URC. It seemed to be a firmware problem. The ramp rate was way too fast....much faster than the other current models and previous models. When I called Denon tech support, they confirmed an issue. I think it was fixed with a firmware update. Luckily we did not sell many of that model.

I have not installed a Denon or a Marantz for years though so I am no help. :)
