I tried another MRF-250 that I had on a shelf and sure enough, it works great. Didn't even have to put it near the projector. With the IR blaster set on, it flooded the room allowing me to place it in a inconspicuous spot. For sure, it was the 3000 that failed. I'll ride that wave a bit longer until something else fails and then replace the remote. Again, thanks for the great idea!!
