Then there's bluetooth, which has erased our ability on the street to distinguish between the psychopath talking to himself and just somebody on the phone. And, incidentally, if your phone is in your pocket, bluetooth has also done away with caller ID!
Psychopaths rarely talk to themselves unless you count referring to themselves in the 3rd person like if Crazy Jimmy says "Crazy Jimmy want's a cheese pizza" to the guy at the pizza place.
Schizophrenia is the usual suspect for 1-person out-loud conversations on the street.
