believe me - I've tried about a dozen times since we started talking to convince him to go with a remote made in the last decade. He's got a strong attachment to this one for whatever reason - the price he paid when it was new, being familiar with the button layout, being stubborn as hell...whatever the reason, he's fixated on it. I'm headed over there in about an hour and already warned him that if this doesn't work, I'm buying him a low end Harmony to run his four components and he'll have to learn to like it ;-)
