IMO, this is a whole that will likely be plugged in the future so don't expect that it will continue to work. Backlight, IMO, should be used for backlight.
To resurrect an old thread, I have never used my backlight hard button. Not once. Would love to program it to take me to my lighting page, but it's escaping how I would do this as is stated can be done in this thread. I'm using a much earlier version of the remote firmware as well in the event the devs did plug the hold as it were. I understand the script would have to reside on a page and not at the activity level. It's just escaping me how to accomplish this.
