it would depend on the emitters being used.  Im not a fan of urc emitters, but they are good at blocking the ir signal from dispersing to other devices.  The tops of the emitters are opaque, and only a pinhole is opened to see the red flash.

Agreed. I occasionally use the Xantech masks, but am unaware of the need of tenting (or even what that means, but I was pitching a tent when I woke up this morning).

Regardless, I don't think it is necessary to type a "you're full of it" on such a benign subject. Somebody has been drinking.

But John is correct, URC emitters a tad bit better about stray IR than other brands.
