I think the reason they recommend mounting it with the SONOS logo away from the TV is because of the angle of the drivers. They also recommend 1" from the TV if mounting below, and I think 2" if mounting above the TV. That is likely to help with reflections off the screen, although I do not know how much difference 1" would make.

I am still wanting to get one of those PLaybars and mounting it on the wall with the proper electrical outlet behind it and still have it look decent. Just so I can say I did it...and let SONOS know how freaking much work it was to mount the thing like they show in their literature. Of course Photoshop is easier than custom any day.
