Anyone mounted the Sonos playbar onto an articulating mouny yet?

I'm using a 65" Samsung with Cheif Thinstall mount and want to try to find a way to mount the playbar to the TV/mount.

I have the Playbar wall mount braket too so expect I can fab something up, but would be interested to hear from anyone that's already done it.

im doing this next week actually. Im using a Chief Thinstall as well but using snaps universal soundbar mount [Link: snapav.com]

i get everything towards the end of the week and plan on playing around with it but i suspect with a little bit of hardware from HD it should go smoothly. I am also using the playbars mount as well to "marry" the two together. Shouldnt be too hard to do, but then again thats why we put the cus in custom :)

Did it on the Chief TS325 with the accessory TA350 and Sonos wall bracket with a 40"

Other than the Sonos is thicker than the TV, alls well. Since the TA350 doesn't have depth adjustments I would likely try the Snap speaker accessory next time.

Thanks guys... sound like we're all on the same page.  I've got a set of the SnapAV brackets already on the way because I thought they'd make a good starting point.

I won't have the luxury to mock anything up so will have to make it work on-the-fly at the jobsite.

I think this is about the only mistake that Sonos made with the playbar.  The lack of bolt threads for mounting.  I'm not in love with the eye holes for anchoring to the wall.

You could always epoxy in 2 female thread rod adaptors. Then use standard machine bolts that match the female part. That gives your sound bar the threaded inserts it should have come with in the first place.

Interesting thought about the threads.  It might work well enough just to drill and tap the back material.  I wonder how thick the back plastic is and how close any circuit boards might be on the inside?

I'd thought about just epoxying machine thread screws into the keyholes, and using a nut on the backside, would work just like a screw into a normal threaded hole.

How did this turn out?
Looks like I'll be mounting a couple of playbars with articulating mounts late this week.

What worked and what would you do different next time around?

I just did one using a Snap Razor Articulating Mount and a Snap Soundbar mount. Went smoothly. I used the shortest bolts possible. You won't get it completely flush but it looks great. Th was a 55" Samsung.

dont know how to post pictures from my phone or I would.

If the sound bar cant be flush, We will probably make our own bracket.

If I reversed the bracket it could have been flush but then the TV would stick off the wall over 4" when parallel to the wall. Ill give it a shot tonight.

I did my install Friday and used the Sonos wall bracket with SnapAV universal soundbar mount and the Chief Thinstall.

Worked out well, but took a little time.  You'll need some bolts and screws that don't come with the mounts and bracket to make it all work, but I got lucky and had what I needed in the van.

I ended up with the sound bars sticking out about 1" from the front of the TV.  Basically when the TV was pushed all the way to the wall the back of the speaker was right up against the wall too.

Isn't that upside down?
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
