Fully agree. When we do anything relating to HVAC it involves us handing over the tstats to the HVAC contractor and saying "here you go, hook them up and make them work manually like a traditional tstat". If you think the Sunday "emergency" calls for no TV service are a pain...wait til you get the real emergency calls for no A/C in the middle of Summer! I don't care to have anything to do with it. Even in a centralized system with all of the tstats mounted in an enclosure they all should be labeled what the zone is and should have printed instructions on how to operate them manually like the good ol' days.
