You can always load a new program. Adding the iServer isn't too big of a deal if you understand SIMPL programming. If you've never done it before, it could take quite some time.
I will bet the described system was programmed in SystemBuilder, which should make it easier to add to especially if he has never done any Crestron programming.
It sounds like there are APADs running the system.
You will need the source code/archive and access to the Crestron Software.
