In this case, I used two approaches.  I searched here, and found a thread with two signals (link in post #4).  I used IRScope to decode these, although I could have used IrMaster instead.  The specific device and function numbers for the CIS430 came from hifi-remote.com, using RemoteMaster to extract the information.   I also found that the device number used by the Scientific Atlanta IPN330 is different to the Cisco CIS330, while the SA IPN420MC is the same as the CIS330.  So I don't know if the "the database" code will work.
