Has anyone used WIDI successfully? My Dell XPS15Z doesn't seem to work with Samsung TV's via this method. I tried Samsung's Allshare with marginal results. Nearly every file type gave me an error message "not supported" on the TV including jpeg and mpeg files. I also tried WiFi Direct to a Sony TV. No luck here either. My only thought is to try WIDI through a Netgear NeoTV which looks like Windows answer to Airplay via Apple TV. I want to send documents and PowerPoint, not just music, pictures, and videos. Any help is appreciated.

What processor is in your computer? If it's an Intel that's less than 3 years old and the TV or some other device uses DLNA, you should be able to stream.

Make sure you have Media Sharing turned on in Media Player. If you don't do that, it won't work.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
