I received mine today. It tested nicely on the drywall; the single-stud light indicator range was about 1.5". It was unable to precisely locate a stud behind a plywood shear wall; the single-stud light indicator range was about 5". A neodymium magnet tool is still required in your kit to find the drywall screws.

If this tool added a neodymium magnet (even if it was removable) and also had AC warning scan it would be complete.

I used a Post-it note on the wall to mark each side of the range when the lights changed status; otherwise, it's tough to feel confident you have the middle of the stud. If there was a continuous strip of small LEDs you could have more confidence that what you're seeing on the display is actually the edge of the stud.

I'm not sure what each sensor costs, but idea of using more of them makes a lot of sense.
