3"+ Tapcons. 4 usually for flat mounts. Maybe 6 for larger TVs.
Did a 65" articulating with 6 5" Redheads. Hung off the mount and it didn't budge. Job done.
Read the specs on the mounting hardware, drill holes straight without wobbling the bit and don't over-torque. And no backing out and then putting it back in again.
