Does it have to be remote controlled? Could you just use a current sensing power controller instead and make it automatic?
I prefer IR controlled because I want to be able to turn it on or off because sometimes I will use my headphones with the pre-amp and want the power amp off. I am in the process of buying all the xantech bits.
I live in hong kong and not all options are readiliy available to me but the xantech parts seem to be available (just spoke to their distributor).
