Sorry to be such a snit and so cynical but, IMO, a reality check is in great need here.

Why no support?

Maybe because the Classic Pronto Platform has been discontinued for almost 5 years now and you are trying to run software that was written for 95/98/98SE/XP - pre SP2?

Are you going to ask Toshiba to provide you firmware updates on that HDDVD player that you bought 3 years ago now that HDDVD is no more?

Your request is kind of like calling up CreativeLabs and asking for Windows 98 drivers for their latest sound cards that are XP/Vista compatible.

Or calling a gaming company that used the older DOS multitasking emulator (Warcraft II - Tides of Darkness) and asking them to provide you updates for their games that work with Vista. They will likely laugh in your face and offer to sell you their latest product but you will NEVER get a version of the old game that works with the Vista OS.

Unless you find a magic bullet on your own and can make TSS work with Vista, you will be out of luck. You will NEVER get an updated version of ProntoEdit or TouchScreenSetup that claims Vista support.

You could always try using Tonto, that is, if the COM port drivers for Vista still work and are backward-compatible with those in XP (Stewart does not have to change his code).

If not, you need to either find an older PC that has XP or find a newer remote.

Best of luck getting this worked out.
