I have a problem trying to program B&K Multi zone units. I cant get my laptop to connect to the unit. No matter what I try, letting the B&K software scan the com ports for the B&K or manually configuring the software, I cant get it to connect. My laptop doesn't have a serial port so I am using a Belkin USB to serial adapter connected to the B&K serial to cat adapter. I called B&K and they were no help. I use the USB to serial adapter to program the B&K keypads, and Elan systems. Anyone have any suggestions?
Hi All:
I am having a similar problem. I can communicate with a CT600 RS232 port from a Windows XP- based system, using a serial port on XP-based computer, but when I try to communicate with a Windows 7- based computer via a usb to parallel converter, I can't establish any communications with the CT600? I can successfully communicate with CK 1.2 keypads using either computer. Any help getting the CT600 to communicate via the usb to serial port would be appreciated, since I would like to use this same interface to connect with a laptop computer in the field.
Thanks,
Gary
