Thanks! I had not found that thread in my searching. My serial number predates the one given, but I do have the h.52 firmware as quoted in this thread (I believe the reseller upgraded their older stock before shipping), so I think it will be worth a try.

Can you recommend a USB JP1 cable to go with it for future use? I got a little mixed up with all the "new" JP1 standards (1.3, etc.).

Will report back on the outcome. Really need to knock the dust off when it comes to remote programming. :)
