I believe they have 2 people in that department. They are not going to have everything under the sun in their database. If you have the hex codes, it is very easy to add to your program. If it is a device you use often, you can create your own template with the hex codes already programmed in to speed things up. The reality of it is that they have a very extensive database and it is fairly well put together and easy to use. It is easy to add your own codes via learning directly, importing hex codes, or importing full ccf files.
I spoke to URC TS and they claim to have 6 full time employees that do nothing but DB entry/maintenance. Surely they can add few dozen codes a day with 6 people.
And I'm not asking for every device under the sun. I'm asking for Zektor stuff as an example. I'm asking for HAI (~5+ years in production). I'm not asking them to purchase equipment and try to learn the codes.
I've sent them full specs, in word or PDF document with MFG references/links.
We're talking COPY/PASTE here folks.
