I've been using a version of the MX-3000 editor with Live Update capability for several years. I recently moved the editor to a Dell Inspiron laptop with 64-bit Windows 7.
On this system the connection for Live Update works, but it always fails with the message "Fail to save patch file". Neither the program nor the database will update. I am running the editor as an administrator, and have tried several compatibility modes down to XP. Nothing helps.
