You need to send this for power ON:

~0000 1\r

Note the space after the 0000

Sometimes (on other models) you need to change the projector ID to 1.

If so then try sending:
~0100 1\r


If that does not work then try this:
\x7E0000 1 \r

The \x7e is the HEX version of sending ~. Some controllers will not understand the ASCII text for special characters.
I do not use RTI but the above is what should be required.

NOTE...
In a very small number of cases the Optoma will only turn ON with the following command:

OKOKOKOKOK
or
OKOKOKOKOK \r

All other commands will work as described in the manual. It is something to do with power saving and using a different circuit for power ON.
