The Mx 880 is part of URC's professional line. The dealer has the option to supply you with the software if they want, but not all will. That being said the URC software is totally different from harmony. With URC you have to configure everything yourself opposed to the harmony where you enter model numbers and the software automatically builds the macros and everything for you. In my area dealers normally charge 90-125 dollars an hour for programming, so I think the price is fair for configuring, testing, fixing problems and training the client. If I was you I would find a dealer in the area to program the remote for you, but is willing to give you a copy of the software, that way you can make changes yourself in the future (provided you figure out the software, since not all can). Hope this helps.
