Well, I got the Radio Shack 15-135 and I am trying the instructions you all have supplied but I am immediately confused.

The instructions from member 3FG said:

Assign setup code 1410 to the TV button.

I am not clear what this means exactly. Aren't I supposed to assign a 5 digit manufacturer's code to the remote?

I did try to assign 00024 to the power button using the instructions below but I could not get the power button to turn the device on or off.

To program an individual button: (Make sure the remote is in TV mode.)

1) Press P until the remote blinks twice
2) Enter 994 (2 blinks)
3) Tap P
4) Enter 00005 from the below listing
5) Tap Menu
The remote should blink twice to indicate success.
