This is very much like HDMI. Somebody thinks the technology is a solution for a problem we haven't had, and now we have to arm ourselves to, in the case of HDMI, just make it work, or in the case of these chips, not get ripped off by remote.
Last year we didn't need aluminum (or whatever) lined wallets to keep our money in our card accounts. How dumb it is that we have to have special "aluminum-hat" wallets just to be where we were last year.
