"Quality" is the problem across the board. People have become so enamored with getting things bootlegged, free, or super cheap that the industry is starting to cater to them. Why offer it in HD when a majority of people are just fine watching it in 480i on their computer monitor.
It's like the crowd that wants to copy their rented DVDs over to VHS... or super compressed DVD copies and downloading over compressed music.
The reason I own all of this expensive A/V gear is because I want GREAT picture and sound. Unfortunately, in the real world, you have to pay for that.
