Your best bet is to make a new cable with a piece of CAT5 and a RS-232 end at the receiver. Make a STRAIGHT THRU connection to pins 2,3,5 to the COM port you are using on the back of the PMC2. If everything works after this you will know if your cable is bad that you are using. You say you tried another processor, this leads me to believe that the cable you are using is bad.
