My desktop isn't much slower than stamps machine as far as CPU goes, but I am running Vista.

I have a copy of W7 to upgrade but ran out of storage on my external drive. Even though all my media is an a separate HDD in my PC along with backups to all my biz stuff. I still wnat back everything up outside of the PC just to be safe. We use Mozy for regular backup, but that's last case resort.

Some I'm wondering if W7 alone will be the increase in performance i need. My laptop from Crestron still sucks and will have to be replaced.
