cma, are you sure about that? Electrically, combining is a whole different problem than distributing. The problem with combining arises if the two sources send at the same time. Additional logic is needed to avoid a collision to the sinking device. Can be simply handled if collisions can be disregarded but not if they have to be handled or proper feedback ( a return message) is expected.
