I realize this is an old thread but maybe this will still be useful to someone.

I have a Viewsonic N2750W LCD TV and a (Comcast) Motorola cable box Model DCT2224.

I was able to program the Viewsonic on the Comcast remote using code 11330 BUT I tried 5 different remotes and it only worked on the one. The search function on the other remotes did not identify the Viewsonic.

Same exact issue trying to get the code for an older model Toshiba DVD player. Unfortunately, it wasn't the same remote that found the Viewsonic.

Like kaymalo, I would have regretted purchasing this tv. But, it was a gift, so I can't complain.
