Just answered my own question, it is via RS232 or IP =) also it was Lutron that wrote the module not Crestron..... although my rep specifically said Crestron wrote it? Hmmmm?

Anyway log into your RA2 dealer account and you will find the module under "drivers"

here is a copy of the FAQ's lutron gives with with the module. man i cannot wait to get my hands on prodigy =)

Where are the drivers available for download?
The drivers can be downloaded on the Lutron® resource website at [Link: ]
How do the two systems communicate with each other?
The drivers offer two-way functionality via Ethernet or RS232 integration
What functionality can I expect?
The drivers allow complete control and integration with RadioRA 2
How do I interface with Crestron Prodigy® and Adagio® home entertainment systems?
In order to integrate with any Crestron system, including Prodigy and Adagio systems, you must use the Crestron
