I guess that would depend onthe projects youa re going after.

IMO, Both can peacfully coexist.

COntrol4 offers more "Reasonable" priced solutions for a broader ranged of projects.

Savant offers higher end touch screenand on-screen interfaces , more interactive control, and a broader line of audio/video matrix solutions.

If you are not doing control as of now, I would start with Control4, get your feet wet.
