FYI, since you will not being getting any feed back with the RTI system, I recommend going with IR. The unit does have a mini jack in plus the number pad functions work much better via IR than 232, which has no +10 functionality, only direct digits. Just throwing it out there, since I have done it both ways in the past. Also, if you do go the RS-232 route, make sure you turn off the power savings feature or the unit will not turn on via RS-232.
