Hi New to RS232 and I have a quick question ( I Hope )

I have a Denon BRP 2010 and I want to control it with an RTI T2C using RS232 strings I have obtained the 232 protocol from Denon and I can see how to Obtain the first 16 Digits but the last 4 have stumped me BCCH BCCL (Block Check Character High Byte and Low Byte) as I understand it, can anyone help on this one

Thanks

Basil

FYI, since you will not being getting any feed back with the RTI system, I recommend going with IR. The unit does have a mini jack in plus the number pad functions work much better via IR than 232, which has no +10 functionality, only direct digits. Just throwing it out there, since I have done it both ways in the past. Also, if you do go the RS-232 route, make sure you turn off the power savings feature or the unit will not turn on via RS-232.
