Drew's Media Room
From: Drew Preston
For: UEI NevoSL
I designed this program around an activity based setup. My Dad comes to visit regularly and he couldn't figure out how to use my system with my old remote - I tried to make it as user friendly as possible and I think I accomplished that goal - I know my Dad never asks me how to use the system anymore - I didn't even have to show him what to do with this setup. I made it extremely easy to change channels by using the Channel Logos as the main interface to change cable> channels instead of using the digits. Right now - it has a Rotel processor but early next week I'm replacing that with an Atlantic Technologies Processor. I'll post an update when complete.
Devices: CD: Quad 99CDP, DVD: Panasonic DVD-A110, Lighting: Lutron Spacer, Processor: Rotel RSP-980THX, Television: Panasonic TH-42PD50

Kris' First Nevo Setup
From: Kris
For: UEI NevoSL
This system incorporates a Sony VCR to change channels on the tunerless plasma. It's my first Nevo set up, so pardon if its amateur. For instance, I should have set up short-cuts (global macros) for channel presets, instead of doing them all one by one with macros. This set up was designed for a customer who is not a button pusher, so many settings controls are tucked away, leaving just transport functions in the forefront.

Lindsay's First Effort
From: Lindsay Ewan
For: UEI NevoSL
Full system file. This is my first effort, but everything works. I used the supplied icons and screens with the exception of the two home screens, which are of my valve power amp (nice glowing valves). There are some more unusual items being controlled that I couldn't find on the net., so they have all been "learned" and checked. I hope that they are of some use to someone.

Thoughts: the macro language isn't a language at all. Its similar to a DOS batch file, in fact even that was more powerful than this. It needs a proper macro language and then it could fly, ie. using conditional statements, goto's, then, variables, and boolean. But on the whole very impressed with the ease by which it is programmed.

Mark Jennings' System
From: Mark Jennings
For: UEI NevoSL
Multi page system outlining individual components and activity based buttons. Layout is running slow on new NevoSL acquired to replace a recently damaged unit (same model). Perry Brill's NevoSL
From: Perry Brill
For: UEI NevoSL
This is a first attempt at customising my Nevo. Utilising macros to show some basic animation as the screens change. If you go from the main screen using the top button, which shows the Sky menu page on a plasma panel, the animation shows a rippling effect and transports you to the menu page for Sky. There is more animation when you press pause or play on this screen and you are taken to a more basic screen with large buttons for easier access and use. Again, using the back button on this screen will show a ripple animation back to the main screen. This is a work in progress so some feedback or ideas would be appreciated.

AV Control, Media Streaming, Full WiFi
From: Rene Vielgrader
For: UEI NevoSL
This configuration mimics the rooms in a house, providing full control of the AV equipment in the individual rooms as well as controlling media streaming to four areas in the house. This is accomplished by hosting all the media on one PC in the study, making downloading and editing of playlists easy. The second PC sits in the lounge and is acting as a media player and MCE PC. Since this is connected to a multi room audio controller, music can be played in four areas. Full wireless control provides interactive music selection with meta data on screen. PS: The MRA controller needs extensive programming and teaching of IR codes for this system to work.
Devices: Audio Controller: Xantech MRAudio4x4, DSS: Pace Sky+, DVD-R: Sony RDR-GX300, PC: Microsoft Windows MCE 2005, Television: Pioneer PDP-435HDG, Tuner: Pure DRX-701ES
