Now that the volume +/- and channel +/- buttons on my 880 are having problems it is time for a new remote. This remote lasted about 2 years before problems started occurring.

This remote is almost perfect, although I wouldn't mind a little more LCD graphics options (pictures for the kids) and RF. I could take or leave the charger.

I love Logitech's software (constantly updated database of components with simple activity based functions). BUT, this is my 3rd Harmony in 5 years. These things are disposable and my 3rd kid just started moving enough to get the remote.

Thoughts on an alternative? I like the UFC R50, but the lack of software was a negative although I still might try it combined with an Next Generation Remote Control Extender to get me RF.

Read some of the other thoughts, opinions, and reviews on here, and you'll find most everything to be better than a Harmony. That being said, the R50 is a nice little unit that is very reliable.
