I have a TSU 7000 and I purchased an ir543 X10. I am trying to find out how to make my ir543 work with my TSU 7000. I want to use my ir543 to work my x10 light switch dimmer. Thank you.

Do you have your TSU7000 set to output with IR? The IR543 can not receive RF, you also need to have your houscode on the IR543 set to match the modules. You should see the red light flash on the front of the IR543 when sending IR commands. Bill www.homeautomationnet.com

Alden, How are you? I downloaded your file for the ir 543, which works great. But, what I'm trying to do is use your lighting page, on/off dim buttons to work on my pronto 7000 light page that comes with the pronto. If it is possible could you please explain to me in full detail how to make this work. Thank you. John

Hi, I just got a TSU3000 and an X-10 IR543. I tried to use some of the X-10 Devices that are posted here but no luck. Also, what does it mean when there is a steady red light on the IR543?

There should only be a light when the IR-543 in being activated, it sounds like it could be defective, perhaps try unplugging it for a minute. Also check that a nearby remote control is not stuck sending out a signal

is this common??
only once have I gotten my IR543 to work by remote. I left the house for a few hours came back (didn't change a thing) and it has never worked since. I tried reloading the codes, but no luck.
Are the IR543's so bad that most people are having troubles? Is there an alternative device?
