Hi Gang

Last night I tried using a couple X-10 handheld remotes, one a palm pad and another TV/X10 combo. I selected the number of the light I wanted to dim. I then pressed the dim button once, the light didn't respond, I tried a second time....nothing. On the third press of the dim arrow button down all of the lights in my house went off! ( with X-10 switches, modules) I turned all the lights back on again, repeated my steps and again on the 3rd dim button press all the lights went off! Any ideas what causes this?

I am awaiting the arrival of an ACT CR230 coupler/repeater, maybe this will do something. I am using HomeSeer, with my computer running all the time plugged into a CM11A. I can operate the lights from the computer, but this isn't what I am shooting for.

As a side note, the night before I was able operate lights with the remotes, on, off and dim functions. I can't think of anything that was different from the day before. The controlibility seems very inconsistant from day to day.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Glenn

Noise on your 120/110 . Could be from outside or something in your house.
Turn off all breakers except the one for the room you want to control, try it , if it works turn the rest on one at a time , in between try it.
