I have a new client that bought an existing clients home with an old RTI system that has an RP-1 with a T2+. T2+ was beat to hell, so we sold him a T2i to replace it in Dec. Got a call back that the remote isn't controlling anything anymore. The remote does page flips. The RP-1 doesn't show any RF activity when a button is pushed. We haven't sold RTI for over a decade, other than takeover projects, so I don't have an RF processor to test with. Is there any way to test if the remote is giving out an RF signal?

Did it work after you set it up? Do you or the customer still have the old remote? It's more likely the RP-1 went out than the new remote.

Could be the power supply that’s on the rp-1. I have had them die on several units recently. Replaced and good to go.
Unit had lights on but that was it

There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far. |
