Hi Guys

I am trying to integrate a Livezi aircon system ([Link: bbcapital.com.au]) with my RTI. I have got an rp6 and a t2c along with a k4. Now i have been able to make a connection between RTI and Livezi system using dynalite in between in the past. But i have not been able to control the aircon directly with RTI. the serial communication codes used by livezi for various aircon controls like on / off/ temp adj are controlled via serial data in Ascii form.. some examples i have given below..

Communication Examples
Example 1
• On a Smartzone at address 0, change zone 1s on/off state to ‘on’.
Send: Q0,1,1,- Reply: R0,1,1,45,36

Example 2
• Change the setpoint on zone 3 to 25 degC on a Smartzone system at
address 254.
Send: Q254,3,-,50 Reply: R254,3,1,50,46

Now i am not sure how to implement this in integration designer. Ive tried using this ascii code and converting into Hex in a macro. But doesnt seem to work. any help would be appretiated..

Thanks

to insert as a string on a button,
edit properties,
rs-232
create new string
enter the correect parameters
do not push the hex button,
type in the ASCII string
ok
you may have to experiment with carriage returns, or read the aircons protocol document to confirm what should be correct
