So yesterday (Friday) I come home from work and my girlfriend tells me that the remote in the living room isn't working...

I start poking around and find my RM433 has fallen and the connector has a small piece broken, but he wires seem intact. The RM433 is flashing constant green... which doesn't make any sense... none of it does.

So tonight (over 24 hours later) I start swapping parts. I get to the point where I've swapped out RM433s my XP8 with an RP6... still a constant green flash.

I start thinking about the random RTI gear I have laying around the house or in the work vehicle, figuring if it were a stuck button on a boxed T2+ or something, the battery would have died a long time ago. I scour the house, unplugging everything in sight, hitting breakers... by this time I feel like I'm loosing my mind. GREEN isn't generally interference.

Turns out, I had a U1, recently swapped with a new U2 in my laptop bag, in the car. The car is a good 75ft from the RM433...

I can't believe the batteries lasted that long. Over 30 hours of constant RF transmission.

Goodnight!

HAHA!

I always turn off the switch on any remote that I am transporting. I've never done a U1 or U2, I know they are sealed so probably difficult to get to the switch.

At least you found it.

I've played that game before!

I spent a half hour dealing with what I thought must be the worst RF interference EVER!

No more batteries in transported remotes! ;-)
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

Proud to say that my property is protected by a high speed wireless device!

When I was a junior at a car audio/alarm business the boss had me removing the second control from the box and putting them in a seperate bag. These were a cheap system that was programmed by pressing the remote to code the alarm.
It was awesome watching the installaers go mad trying to figure out why every system that day was playing up!! I had no idea, I was just the dumb junior :)
Wireless speakers? Of course Sir. Choose the colour and size you like. As you don't seem to think sound quality is important, I will not plug them in.
