Hi Guys,
I have a system running over 5 rooms. 1x home theatre with a T3-V control, everything OK there.
1x Lounge area running vidoe and audio through a Kramer matrix switcher, VS88HC, controlled from RK-3.
1x outdoor video and audio using Kramer switcher and RKM-1.
2 audio only zone RKM-1 and Kramer switcher.
I am also using a Kramer VA-8XL as a preamp between the switcher and the power amplifier for the multi zone audio.
The Kramer gear is being controlled by RS-232 from the system RP-6.
I am having trouble with some codes for the matrix switcher. The controls for input selection and routing work OK, but the codes for a zero input to the zone dont. These are taken from the Kramer documentation and they are also supported by the 2000 series code generator.
The funny thing is, the zero input codes work on one part of the system only. I have used a toggle code for the mute function in the room with the RK-3. One part of the mute uses a zero input and toggles back to the system input to restore volume. This works flawlessly every time.
The same code as in the toggle function is programmed as part of the system off for that room and does not work, ever. I have checked and rechecked and all of the signal routing seems right to me. I have used the codes as a standalone on the buttons and placed them inside of macros on the RP-6 and they dont seem to work.
I have not had any luck either at this stage with controlling the volume of individual channels through the VA-8XL. Still trying to piece together how to write these protocols with the small amount of information given in the manual.
Would anybody care to look over this system file for me, perhaps I have missed something small.

Thanks,
Glenn
Wireless speakers? Of course Sir. Choose the colour and size you like. As you don't seem to think sound quality is important, I will not plug them in.

send it to me if you are serious. my RC username (no spaces) @live.co.uk

beware,Protocol 2000 is generic to many kramer products. so not all products utilise all the commands which are in protocol 2000 document.

Thanks mate,
it was you ar Ernie first!!
It is on my programming PC and very late here. I will send it to soon.
Like I said, i cant understand why the functions dont work when they are the same!!
I dont think the VA-8XL uses the standard protocol. I havent messed with the volume controls much at the moment.
