is there a way to extract graphics and buttons as .png or bitmap files to edit and then use on other projects

yeah, but i don't think i can say here because rti/guifx own the rights to those graphics... do a forum search of your topic but substitute ID6 for RTI and you'll come across several options to do this.

Yes they own the rights to those graphics and I think it's wrong to extract them to use on something other then an RTI control product. But if you're gonna use it on an RTI remote then we should be able to pull it out. Maybe lock it so that it can only be saved in an RTI file format.
I would love to pull some of the new VGA graphics out in order to downconvert them for us on non-VGA screens.

It is possible, but it is a very sticky subject.
It has been covered here a few times in the past.
I wont post the info, but I will tell you it can be done.
