Made a post over at IP never got a response, so why not over at the RTI forum. OEM remote works fine into front sensor of TV. Initially, I downloaded the hex from Sunbrite(which they say is Sony) put that in my program with my macros residing in the RP-6 in which I was only using Power on, Power off and Input 5.

The codes worked intermittently(emitter lights up everytime), so I used Sony codes: same result, then learned the Power toggle from the OEM remote(IR-PRO): same result. I have adjusted IR strength, messed with repeats and sustain to no avail. I changed test buttons to standalone IR and those didn't work. I moved IR emitter on back panel farther away from ir pickup to no help.

Today I brought along an URC MX-900, loaded in the Sony generic 070 and using IR only into front panel, they work perfect. WTF? Do I need to use URC with the MRF -350 to solve this problem?

Can't seem to get this one licked, all my other equipment in the rack work fine Yam 863, Sony BD, Directv HD DVR. I added another T2B and RM-433 to the same RP-6 for a Panny Plasma using same BD and DVR this works fine also.

Anyone see this before using the same or different equipment? I am leaning towards RTI as the problem.

Gary, I had some similar issues with a 4610HD.

Using a U1 / RP-1 Combo, I used the sony codes (which were clean) and I used the rear IR window behind the weather sealed panel.

At first, all the codes seemed hit or miss. So I took some black electrical tape and covered the FRONT IR window & that worked perfectly.

I have had no more issues, and the IR is flawless.

On a side note, I dont know which model you got, but on a panel that I installed last summer, the 4610HD, I am having a SERIOUS problem that Sunbrite is telling me is normal.

WTF?

During the day, if the sun shines on the LCD panel (having a name like "Sunbrite" just makes this worse), a small black cirlce appears on the panel, and grows increasingly until filling the ENTIRE screen!

I called sunbrite and sent pictures of the issue, and they have the ba**s to tell me that this is NORMAL!!! I got a formal email explaining that the customer should move the TV to shade for the problem to go away, and then the customer can turn it back into the sunlight.

I am not happy with this answer, and I am asking to speak to a higher power there, these things are expensive and I purchased the 2 year extended warranty on top of that!

Be aware that this can happen, I am hoping I receive better support than this, or I will be calling Mr. Pantel for any future sales of outdoor televisions.

Well, they did say it was a Sony inside.

Also try using a non blink emitter, the blink emitters emit about 1/2 of the IR a normal emitter emits

We had an issue with a receiver that had an existing blink emitter on it and the volume was erattic and after changing the emitter to a non blink it was working as it should have been
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

Same TV, I just think that without even going down the RP-6 path and just using T2B in straight IR mode it should work. The tape idea sounds good, yesterday it was raining while I was working, do you think the tape method is blocking out IR from the sky or from the LCD panel?

I didn't mention the HDMI handshaking issues, I have been lucky so far on all my jobs but this combo is a PIA. I have to have TV on first then 9 seconds then Yamaha reciever. If you turn the Yamaha on first (due to the Power command not working) then you will never get an image on the screen.

I forgot to mention that taking Sony 070 Input 5 & 6 which are HDMI 1 & 2 on this panel from the URC 900 into the IR-PRO then sending them standalone IR work perfect into the front sensor of the TV.

I think the Vizio looking input stickers on the back give this thing away, I know if this was a Sony it would be working. I mean this is my first install with this panel and so much BS, my install wiring and programming methods haven't changed. It just seems the Power commands are being changed or interfered by this panel.
