Just upgraded a system to xp-8 had rp-6, was controlling denon 3806 via rs232 some things work but most commands don't, was trying to figure out about the grounding wire that I had with rp-6 and were I could attach it on the xp-8 have tried grounding other place with no luck, any ideas, thanks

Make sure you have the most current firmware for the XP8. That will fix any delay issues with volume commands. Also since you've converted for a RP6 to a XP8 you probably have the wrong port selected in the command. Go into properties and make sure the command is on the correct port. You shouldn't have to worry about the ground. Try it without the ground.

Problem solved, found bad cat5 replaced now working thanks for help
