There are a few products out there that allow you to take a video output from a DVR and give it an IP. The problem with these and networked DVR's are that they usually want you to load software so you can control the DVR too. Or they require active X or a Java enabled viewer, none of which you can do with the RK3.
I have a project that has non IP cameras. We are going to install a small DVR which I can control via IR or possibly RS232. The cameras will be viewed through a DV system on plasma's in the house. We have 4 RK3's being used too, and I would really like to find a solution to viewing the cameras on these too.
I would think with all the networked devices available out there, there should be a way to convert the video output to an IP address and just be able to call up 192.168.X.X or whatever is being used in the house and see a picture.

Anyone here play with anything that can do this?

Axis 241Q should do it, but I haven't done one personally yet.

Not sure about that one, looks similar to many others out there. Usually the moment you need to log in, that tells me you going to view a page with all sorts of camera control functions too.
The only one I have found so far is from Moxa, and much like the Axis they are expensive. Hoping to find a little less pricy solution. I doubt the client wants to spend an extra 800.00 just to view his front door cam on the touch panels.

Check page 13 in the user guide. it explains how to get a live video stream without logging in. Still expensive, and still untested AFAIK...

I agree I have used on a T4 and works fine. Very easy install

Keep in mind that I think RTI only supports motion jpeg so you will get a jumpy vid no matter what encoder you use.
