Today I went up to the DistyPALOOZA event. I was actually pretty impressed, they had about 30 vendors there, they did a few free trainings gave away prizes, free food. It was a good atmosphere, got to see some familiar faces from other trainings.

RTI rep (knock on wood, i don't want to jinx it) says some 2-way will be available next month....dun Dun DUNNN!

Also, I've never messed with Phillips remotes, had a bad experience with an old pronto about 4 years ago and never cared to look into the line. I have to say that they "seem" to have a pretty sweet system with some good 2-way modules for common products and a remote/processor combo that is the same price as a XP-8. They rep said that they have redone or have a new software about to be out that allows all there products to be programmed under a single program similar to RTI.

It is always a good idea to be aware of what's out there in the market place, the difficult part is deciding which lines to carry, especially when they're at a similar price/performance point.

That's what they said a few months back.

I know, this time there was no "if" or sketchiness, but we'll see. There will HAVE to be a new software release right?

I hate to say it, but Philip's is making RTI look like they are behind the times. Which RTI is at this point...

I have had to deal with Philip's support and that was not very fun to be honest with you. I am not going to go through with that again.

Yeah, I was done after programming just one Pronto. However, I hear that Phillips has a made a big come back overseas and with the new software has some hope here in the states.

Its hard to look back on something that you just hated so much, probably not everyone, but that's how I felt. Sorta like if Harmony came out with a solid remote with 2-way, reliability, good design and real programming software....would you try it?

Yeah, I'm hoping that RTI has just really taken their time (well they have) to make sure that this sh!t comes out and works flawlessly.

"In a few weeks" is what was just said about the availability of 2-way on the on-line training.
